Our helicopters provide a steady platform and an unobstructed view from
which to shoot both still and motion photography. The helicopter has
the obvious advantage over an airplane of not having wings, wheels,
propellers, lift struts, doors, and windows to get in your way. Other
advantages that most first-time users are impressed with is its ability
to hover. The ability to hover perfectly still, move up, down, left,
right, backwards and forward, make framing that perfect shot easy.
Another added benefit is that helicopters, unlike airplanes do not have
to adhere to the same FAA minimum altitude requirements.
For that reason, most of the aerial photographers in Central Arkansas employ our services when they really need to get it right. One of our Jet Rangers is specifically equipped for aerial photography. It has a “photo window” which provides almost a square yard of unobstructed view without having to take the doors off or hang out the side of the aircraft. It also has a gyroscopically-stabilized, remotely-operated, broadcast-quality Eagle Vision II video camera installed. Ad agencies and production companies often use this camera for shake-free high-quality video. For cinematography, we can install a Tyler Mount for HD, IMAX, and other specialty cameras. We can record both VHS or MDV formats, and we have hook-ups for Beta as well.
